Activity Description

Children will pick up small erasers using chopsticks and carefully place them onto a designated space of the flower.

Steps

• Step 1: Gather all tools

  Step 2: Scatter mini erasers around the table and use the chopsticks to pick up and place onto the flower.

Goals

Chopsticks are a great tool to have for many reasons! Children love to play with chopsticks and we love the benefits of using it for an activity. When finger are placed properly on the chopsticks, children strengthen a neat pincer grasp and the muscles of the fingers. When the last two finger are tucked in the palm, this encourage separation of the hand - an important skills for grasping a pencil efficiently, dressing (fastening buttons, zippers, and snaps), and more.
