Fine Motor Skills

Fine motor skills refer to the ability to use the small muscles of the hand and wrist to make coordinated movements. Children rely on these skills to complete everyday tasks such as grasping a pencil for handwriting, drawing, cutting with scissors, play, self-care, and much more.  When a child is struggling with fine motor skills, it can directly impact their self-esteem, academic performance, and ability to play and socialize with other children.
