Pre-Writing

 Pre-writing is an important stage to master before learning how to handwrite letters. Tracing and forming horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines can help improve a child’s handwriting ability. When practicing tracing, children are developing skills needed for letter formation. Pre-writing strokes are developed in a sequence by age and should be followed correctly. When a child masters pre-writing, he/she can begin letter formation.
