Activity Description
How can a pop toy be used for learning? Watch and see how we set up letter targets to improve letter recognition! You can say the letters, its sound, and a word that begins with that letter. Children will enjoy setting up the letter targets and practicing their letters!
Steps
Step 1: Printout PDF and cut out letter cards in advance.
Step 2: Place clothespin on each letter card and set up as targets (you can also tape the letter card to a plastic cup).
Step 3: Name the letter, aim, and squeeze the pop toy to hit the letter target.
Step 4: Continue until all letter targets have been correctly identified and knocked over!
Goals
Pop toys are fun tools that children enjoy to use and can be used to work on strengthening the hand, developing hand arches, eye-hand coordination, and involves an academic component.
