Leaf Letter Discovery

$1.00

Practice proper letter formation for letters A-Z in a multi-sensory approach! This worksheet helps children practice handwriting while building their fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual perception, and more!

Did you know there is a proper way to form letters? Letter formation begins at the top and left-to-right approach. For left-handed children, letter formation begins at the top as well however, can be formed from the right-to-left approach.

There is a developmental sequence to learning how to write your letters. We begin with letters that have vertical and horizontal lines such as E, F, H, I, L and T. Once children have mastered these letters, then we can move on to curved letters such as B, D, P and R. More complex curved letters include C, G, J, O, Q, S, and U. Finally, we finish with letters that have diagonal lines such as A, K, M, N, W, X, Y, and Z.

Children will LOVE to learn their letters by discovering them in fun ways! Handwriting is difficult enough as it is, let’s make it exciting and enjoyable!

Tools:

  • 1 sheet of paper towel

  • 2-3 cups of water with orange, yellow, and red food dye (or any colors you have at home)

  • Kids Eye dropper (alternative: use a wet pom pom or paintbrush)

  • Pencil

  • Tray to collect any spillage

Once purchased, you will receive a downloadable link and the fun begins! The letters will be separated by developmental sequence (4 different worksheets included).
