Activity Description
Let's discover something amazing together! Children will use an eye dropper filled with water to discover hidden letters on planet Saturn. We will then practice writing those letters! Handwriting has now become a fun learning experience!
Steps
Step 1: Print out the PDF and place the Saturn planet sheet on top of a tray. Place 1 sheet of paper towel on top of that sheet so the planet with letters hidden.
Step 2: Prepare two bowls of water with orange and yellow food color dye. The food color dye is optional but adds a fun sensory experience.
Step 3: Use an eye dropper to collect water and squeeze on top of the paper towel until a letter is discovered (alternate between yellow and orange).
Step 4: Practice writing the letter that was discovered and repeat steps until all letters are found.
Goals
Take learning to a whole new level of fun! This activity works on strengthening the little fingers, separation of the hand, handwriting (letter formation), and has a sensory component (tactile and visual).
