Who’s ready for preschool?! Join Mrs. Laura for a fun and engaging 10-week series of live OT classes. Your child will LOVE using simple tools to support their academic learning from home while building important foundational skills for school success. We will cover important topics such as counting, letter recognition and sounds, handwriting, cutting with scissors, and more!

After each live session, parents will receive a downloadable resource with suggested activities and games to continue their learning before our next class!  

Lesson Focus: Let’s Strengthen our Little Fingers

Children will engage in fun ways to strengthen the little fingers while practicing their counting skills.

Parents, do not underestimate the importance of finger strength! Finger strength is important for everyday activities such as dressing, holding a pencil, manipulating small items, moving the fingers with precision, and many other tasks. When children have weak fingers, we can expect them to struggle with holding a pencil and moving it with precision, opening/closing a water bottle, fastening their clothes, and more.

Tools Required:

• Clothespins (alternative: chip clips)

• Kids Chopsticks/Tongs (alternative: tweezers)

• Mini Erasers or Pom Poms

• PDF Printout

• Play-Doh
